The Archdiocese of Dubuque continues its Journey in Faith, an invitation to renewal and growth for parish life. Based on survey responses from more than 22,000 parishioners and additional parish data, proposesd pastorate models have been prepared to encourage prayer, listening, and dialogue. This past September, parishioners were invited to attend one of the 34 Regional Journey in Faith Informational Sessions. The next step will be our local parish meetings.
Local Parish Journey in Faith Sessions #2 and #3
What are these Meetings?
Each parish will be holding 2 local input sessions for parishioners about the Journey in Faith process and proposed models for their parish. These meetings are a follow up to the information released on September 2, 2025 and the regional meeting #1 which was held in 34 locations throughout the Archdiocese in September.
When and Where are the meetings?
Every parish in the Archdiocese will be hosting meeting #2 in October and meeting #3 in November. The following parishes will have their #2 meeting:
Sacred Heart Parish: Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 1:00pm - 3:30pm at the Sacred Heart Church. Team Members are Kim Frush, Peg Mangrich, Karen Wigg, & Sharon Allsup.
St. Paul Parish: Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 6:00pm - 8:30pm at the St. Paul Church. Team Members are Chris Ruzicka, Janice Halupnick, Jenny Hulme, & John Svoboda.
St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish: Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 6:00pm - 8:30pm at the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Church Hall. Team Members are Wayne Frost & Jim Frost.
Why should you attend? Journey in Faith is about setting forth a course to have vobrant and sustainable parishes focused on evangelization for the next 25+ years. This is your opportunity to be engaged and offer valuable feedback and in formation which will be considered prior to decisions being made by Archbishop Zinkula in the Spring of 2026.
