St. Mary of Mount Carmel Pastoral Council Meeting Minutes September 24, 2025

Pastor's Report - Father Tony
- Father reported that due to the Journey in Faith program, no stipends would be allowed that extend past June of 2026
July Minutes -
- Cory Mullen motioned and Stephanie seconded approval on July minutes.
Finance Report
- Finanial statements had been approved
- Discussion in expanding the information in the bulletin to include a monthly/year-to-date dollar amount
- Tim Huber will be providing Heidi a copy of the budget. Heidi will then send a copy of it to the Pastoral Council
- The cracks have been filled in the parking lot and cemetery drive. Discussed paving the complete lot, but we will need to wait on this until next year.
Old Business
- 50 Year Celebration of the New Church - Results
  - 125 attended the successful celebration
- Journey in Faith
  - See new business
- Vitality Goals
  - We do not need to submit a report due to Journey in Faith
- Parking Lot Repairs
  - See Finance report
New Business
- Journey in Faith - October/November Meetings
  - St. Mary is not showing as having weekend Mass starting July 2026
  - St. Mary potentially could have a weekday Mass
  - Church will be open for funerals and weddings
  - Parishioners information meetings will be:
    - October 5th - 1:00pm Sacred Heart
    - October 8th - 6:00pm St. Paul
    - October 12th - 6:00pm St. Mary
  - Winter of 2026 the Archdiocese will make the final announcement on parishes that will keep Mass, priest assignments and parish grouping.

  - Revisions have been made and submitted for the Parishioners Financial Assistance application

  - No additional report to Journey in Faith
- Faith Formation - Kaylee McGarvey
  - A new computer for Sarah Kopriva to use has been purchased
  - Catechesis of Good Shephard has been paused for now

St. Mary of Mount Carmel Finance Council Meeting Minutes September 24, 2025

Present: Mike Werner, Stephanie Ollendieck, Tim Huber, Heidi Corpman, Father Tony
Absent: None
Father started the meeting with a prayer at 5:30pm.
We first looked through the financials. Mike motioned to accept the financials, Stephanie seconded and the motion passed
We discussed adding a monthly or year to date synopsis of where we stand with how much money we need to operate/budget for the year.
We Adjourned the meeting at 6:30pm.
